Meet Ariella
In the quiet village of Meadowvale, a gentle, amber-eyed cat named Ariella has a rather extraordinary secret.
To most, she is simply a fluffy brown tabby, with a tiny heart-shaped patch on her throat and a golden star hanging from her collar. She shares a peaceful home with Emily, a young illustrator, who has no idea just how remarkable her little companion really is.
For Ariella has a very special gift. Hidden amongst the meadows is a mysterious circle of dandelions, and whenever she steps inside, she finds herself travelling back through time.
One moment she may be exploring the familiar lanes and gardens of Meadowvale; the next, she is wandering those same places hundreds of years earlier, witnessing the people, events and everyday lives that shaped the village she knows today.
From ancient times to more recent history, each journey brings a new adventure, a new mystery, and sometimes a small part for Ariella herself to play.
And although Emily never sees these journeys, the special bond between them means that she sometimes senses something of the places Ariella has visited.
However far back in time her adventures take her, Ariella always finds her way home, bringing with her another little piece of Meadowvale's forgotten history.
All of the Ariella time travel stories will eventually appear here. I'll be adding them on an ad hoc basis, so come back often.
Please leave a comment or two in the guestbook. Thanks.
